I love that song by Taio Cruz... I mean Jay Sean... I mean Jason Derulo... I mean Colby O' Donis.. I mean...

So this posting I would like to address the music industry at large! I keep listening to the radio and here comes a male singer using some kind of synth pop with an R&B ting to the sound. And I'm like oh that's cool, maybe the next wave of Usher's. Not twenty minutes go by and another similar song comes on and I'm like WHAO, this guy has 2 songs on the radio! I mean if Bey and Gaga can pull it off (and with each other as well) then this guy can too. Props. Wait a sec, the next effin song is by him TOO! Someone is pullin my leg and as anyone can tell you, I don't like leg pulling. This dude must be screwin the right execs to have 3 singles out on radio play at the SAME time. Who is he? OH!

It's that song by Taio Cruz... I mean Jay Sean... I mean Jason Derulo... I mean Colby O' Donis.. I mean... Iyaz... I mean Sean Kingston.... I mean Justin Beiber... WTF
Who is this dude!!!???!!!
Well the truth is they are all one in the effin same! All over produced pop magnets foolin the masses by puttin out the same songs with different titles. And if you listen to ANY of their albums you will find most of the tracks on them sound eerily the same to the first single. Now I can appreciate a pop R&B fusion as much as the next person. but it's gettin ridiculous when these music labels are just putting out their version of the last guy who had it big. Here's the "original" pitch:
Ok, so we got this young guy right! He is fit and wears fitted V necks and sometimes skinny ties. And then we made this song for him, get this, it's a song about gettin with a girl! Now there is of course some obstacle about getting to the girl. Like he doesn't want her or does or doesn't or does...........
And then we teach him some mediocre watered down hip hop moves and give it a techno R&B pop beat and just auto tune his voice a bit, especially on the high notes. Let's add a rapper to give him some street cred and make sure in his video plenty of these girls are sitting around him and his dancing "homies" and give him a bottle of something to wave around. AND DO NOT FORGET THE CLUB SCENE! Then give him a second single with the exact same formula. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
And thus my argument has come to a point. I want some original people to come forward and change it up. I know there are starting to be plenty of Ke$ha's and Gaga's and girl groups galore, but I'll write about that LATER. For now, I'm sick of hearing the same cookie cut men dishing out the same radio friendly Easy Mac N Cheese hits. I mean kudos cause they make money I don't. But have some goal in life to create something outside of the mold. Otherwise you fade just like.... what's his name.
