A place for everything and everything in it's place. That's the saying, right? Well if it is or isn't or just is int, lol, I look around me and think, yes it is possible that I am right where I'm supposed to be. I'm not saying that there is no room for improvement or change or scenery or pace, but now in the moment feels alright. All right. We take for granted hidden little moments that would look great in a flashback montage. Sometimes we only care about the outcome and the bigger frame of the idea. Why!? look at the details you miss. There are some big decisions yet to be made and there are still questions floating in the air. I need an answer now like I needed it then, is what they say. Well I say to thee: you didn't get "it" then, and you're still here now. Live in the MOMENT people. I'm gonna give you the key, the answer, that one little thing and I promise you, everything will be All Right, alright?
Here are the steps; now in order to do this right it only works once and you have to do step by step as you read this instruction guide. No cheating and reading ahead, if you're not in the right setting then STOP now and read later. You will need pen and paper, and your brain. The last one is a must.
So step one...
First take your paper and make sure its free and clear of any and all notes, preferably just start with a blank paper. A clear canvas. This is your world, your every day battles and questions and unique style of living. Live it, breathe it, smell it, it is you. No matter the shape or size of paper, in the end it is still simply that... paper. Don't forget to recycle after. So you have your life in your hands, you can shape it, cut it, mold it, burn it, trace on it... the list goes on... When it looks like the end is near, there is always more paper than you can stop and start all over again.
Step 2
Get a pen... NOT A PENCIL! and a nice blue or black will suffice. Your (or whoever owns it) pen is the variables in your life. The factors the x in your yz equation, any little thing you have had to question or doubt or feel unsure of is this pen. The pen is after all mightier than the sword. With a few words on a paper you can be fired, dumped, written off, written in, you can inspire, admire, and transpire all through the written word. It is black and white, sealed in ink, so it is written so shall it be. Going forth without being shakespearean, too late I know, you do this:
Write down a few choice words, no more than ten. Simple words, like Love and Death and Money are trash. Think outside of the box. Stay, Leave, New, Fresh, Absence, Crime, Lead, Follow, Join, Cousin, Alfie, Write, Dance, Jump... etc words that make a story without even having to write one. Let them attach to you. Feel these doubts and choices collide with your paper/ life. How you come to change the blank format to a chaotic game of $10, 000 pyramid.
Ok, step 3-
You have your words, you have your life. It is in your hands. Look at it. Become it. See all the possibilities you have before you. think of all the things you wish you had written instead. Better words, worse words, The RIGHT WORDS, but they are in pen. No erasing, no take backs, this is the paper and the ten words of your life. Wow, they seem big now right? Alright they do. And? You chose to put them there, there they are and you're stuck. Crossroads, oh you mame my life! You let all these BIG things, these BIG words get into your life. Some you are happy with, some you don't mind let sit or settle. Some you hate, or wish weren't problems. Some you randomly came up with, and some you wrote because you though it was a smart word. Admit it. Now what right?
Step 4- Find the optimism, find the happiness, find the tunnels. The rays of light. Have them? Good. Think of them close your eyes for a few minutes and let them simmer....
Go ahead I'll wait......
....................................
All right? Alright. Let's continue. So take your paper and slowly hold it from both ends... now move it away from you extending your arms and so that it's in sight but not directly in front of you. Take one last promising look. This is your life, these are your words.
Step 5
Rip it. Rip it into shreds! Don't hold back just rip. Make a bloody mess. WAIT WHAT! Rip it? What kind of self taught psycho therapy is this? I just invested time and patience and money and ink into this paper dammit! You made me think and wonder and be happy and mad and now just rip it? What was the point! I could've done that in my head.
Okay, okay , calm down imaginary reader. I get it. I wasted your paper. And ink. Just to prove a point. As I said at the beginning. There is always! Always! more paper. More ink, more things you can write and say. The world does not end with one decision you make no matter how big or small. In the end unless the sun pulls us closer, you still have more blank fresh clean paper. To start anew, or change things that you didn't like to see before. To re-write what was and make it what is. Simple isn't it. And if all else fails, just throw it away, make a detailed decision to take a risk and go off paper. Do what you have to do and I promise you imaginary reader, Everything will be All Write. Alright? All Right.
Thanks for reading... let's listen to a few tracks. Two link to each other, the other has an explanation. The first ones are from a Cover group called Karmin (Karmin) Look em up! Great harmonies and voices, a lot of live stuff. They have a great Youtube as well. Here we have Cover song "Touch" by Natasha Bedingfield. A GREAT upbeat pop song about bumping into people and setting off chain reactions to make what is, IS. Making decisions etc that put the universe in flow. And then we have an original song which is the theme of this entry called "Everything Is Right" which outlines everything I just said, but way better and nicer vocals. This band can do no wrong. And then we have a track called Perfect Nightmare by Shontelle (of "T-shirt" fame) and this is also a back and forth song, about struggles with just trying to be happy, more directed at love, but still sticking with my theme. Give it a full listen, cause it changes up on ya!
